U shape Kitchen Design

A U shape kitchen is what many expert believed to be the most efficient kitchen design.  Cabinets, counters, appliance are all arrange along three wall in a U configuration.  The greatest benefit for this plan is ease of traffic flow. 

A U shape kitchen design incorporates a logical work sequence of work centers with minimum distance between each.  The sink is often located at the best of U with refrigerator and range on the side walls opposite each other.  Corners may be a problem in U shape kitchen design as they often create unusable space.  However you can overcome that by angling cabinets into otherwise unusable area.   Corner units on the countertop make roomy appliance garages. 

Smaller U-shaped kitchen design can be dark because of the sheer mass of all that cabinetry.  You can overcome this drawback with generous-size window, skylights, or under cabinet task lighting.
